Nearly a year ago, Vado Diomande, founder of the Kotchegna Dance Company, was diagnosed with a form of naturally-occurring inhalation anthrax on February 22, 2006. Vado was the first known person to survive naturally occurring inhalation anthrax in the United States in over 30 years. Now, after a miraculous full recovery he is ready to hit the stage with his world-renowned dance company, Kotchegna, and guest artists from the Ivory Coast in their debut production since his illness titled: ” Vado and Kekene” – Vado and the Creative Forces.
