About Last Weekend: Solange in Milly

Dress, Milly 2016

The dress is everything to me. The red, the flamenco arm details, the mid-calf length. Just the perfect embodiment of a sultry, grown woman look that turns head with just the right amount of skin. This dress is a total winner.

New York Fashion Week SS16: The Stealth Watch

So I sat quietly this week, watching, noting, indulging. If there was one word I could use to describe this week, it would be disruption. From Kanye throwing everyone off by staging a last minute show, to Givenchy presenting their iconic collection in New York, to Marc Jacobs and his vaudeville nod at the Zeigfield – #NYFW definitely kept everyone on their toes. Here are some of my faves from the collections.  (Click to enlarge)

#NYFW : The Candids

Because the best action is in the front row. Indulge.

#NYFW Fall/Winter 2014 Day Eight: Favorites + Trends

As New York Fashion week winds down after this crazy week of snow, I can reflect on some of the best moments from the Fall shows. I plan to do a recap this weekend just to take it all in again, and indulge.
For Day 8, the trends I saw: lots of colorful knits, lime, capes (like at Zac Posen), and flying fur, which seems to be on everyone’s wishlist.  Below, highlights from Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren,  and J.Mendel.

#NYFW Fall/Winter 2014 Day Four: Favorites + Trends

This update came late. I was so caught up watching/tweeting/Facebooking, that I couldn’t get to posting! That said, hands down, the best show was Diane Von Furstenberg*. This iconic Wrap Star celebrated 40 years of the wrap dress by sending a slew of golden wrap styles down the runway to cap off a wonderfully exciting show.

*Random Trivia: My mom named me after her daughter Tatiana. I still have a huge bottle of the perfume by the same name on m vanity

As for the trends: Royal Blue, Moss Green, Quilt, weaving, warped tribal, hot pink, large plaid print. Below, my faves from the Band of Outsiders, Custo Barcelona, DVF, DKNY, Edun, and Opening Ceremony shows.

#NYFW Fall/Winter 2014 Day Three: Favorites + Trends

Everybody was obviously gaga over the Alexander Wang show, but my personal favorite was Mara Hoffman without a doubt. If I could pick one personal designer to wear for a lifetime, she would be it. That said, the trends I saw:  perforated details, artful cutouts, maroon, nude, exposed zippers and patterned tights.
Below, my faves from Alexander Wang, Hervé Léger, Jill Stuart, Lacoste, Mara Hoffman and Christian Siriano.
