Jules Kim has had a fantastic year. I’ve watched her amazing jewelry line go from an underground cult following to being featured in magazines, and music videos like Beyoncé’s Sweet Dreams. This season, her line has evolved into intricately designed headpieces and finger-wear featuring the likes of delicate animal bones modeled in gold.

The Philosophy show was held at Eyebeem Gallery in the Chelsea art district. The brick background was an interesting contrast to the soft, airy day dresses that flowed down the runway. A big theme of the evening were the patterned DVF-like lips that appeared on nearly every piece. What would Diane say?

The big detail that I keep seeing pop up over and over on the runways is piping or wide edging along hemlines. I saw it at Thom Browne, and and I saw it at the Thuy show on Tuesday. This was a collection of after 7-wear; sparkly overcoats and sweet cocktail dresses in punchy colors outlined Thuy’s looks. Here are some flix:

Project Runway winner Luanne was in the house to watch the uber-feminine looks grace the runway at the Tibi show on Tuesday. We were equally smitten with the line. Painterly pastel florals, technicolor hummingbirds on flowing dresses, asymmetrical dresses and fun, flirty outfits are a staple for any sweet summer. Flix below:

The stars in the audience had to be the most unpretentious bunch of people that I’ve ever dealt with. Compared to the snobbery in other fashion shows, the baby Phat show was like one big family reunion! And Everybody was in the building for this one: Djimon sat front row and chatted with Russel Simmons (why can’t more black families be like that?!) Amber gladly posed for us, as well as plenty of other celebs. Everyone was just having a good time and danced out of the Roseland Ballroom to Michael Jackson’s PYT. The only bad note? Apparently DJ Cassisy didn’t get the hint that the music was way too loud when half the audience covered their ears in excruciating pain. It definitely dampened the show for me. The show ended with Kimora walking the runway with Ming Lee, Aoki Lee… and newest member, baby Kenzo!

Out of all the crazy stylish ( and certifiable crazy) looks we’ve seen in the tents this season, this young lady hits the mark. Her look is a simple mix of urban streetwear coupled with a few luxe accessories, like the trendy zipper-detail heels. Another big fall must-have is the overbleached denim vest that I saw Rihanna rocking a few weeks back. Get the look:

This show was MASSIVE. With all the celebs in the room, and the excitement in the air(partly due to the buzz around the VMAs) the Tent was on fire! Dominique and I decided to sit this one out and simply enjoy the show. No filming, no snapping pix, no interviewing–just watching. I will say that the Custo show may have had the MOST black models featured so far. I mean, for the first 15 mins of the show, it was all Black models! KUDOS! And of course the vibrant clothes were amazing–just what I expected from the line–and a little more. Flix below:

Instead of sitting for the Tuleh show on Sunday I actually grabbed a spot alongside the photographers to get a better vantage point. This clothes were the vision of a girl’s dream… from pretty little girl, to city woman, to modern wedding princess. I adored just about every frilly piece! Flix below:
