Just days before the launch of his menswear collection, fashion loses another legendary icon.

The sudden death of the Italian couturier and designer, Gianfranco Ferré, has sent shock waves through the international fashion industry.

Ferré, 62, died in the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan yesterday (Sunday) after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage.

Ferré was such a monumental figure in the landscape of Italian fashion it is hard to envisage the next women’s fashion week in Milan in September without him.
