A few months ago, I became acquainted with the benefits of bone broth. I knew that it was beneficial for building strong bones, teeth, and strengthening my immunity. But when someone mentioned that it helps smooth out cellulite, I was game! That rich marrow and gelatin helps build cells that break down with age and poor diet. Dr. Weston Price details the virtues of bone broth here.

While you can spend hundreds of dollars on cremes that don’t work, you can fix the cellulite problem from the inside out with this inexpensive formula that you can make whenever you please, and in whatever amount. I found this simple recipe from Wellness Mama, one of my favorite go-to sites for do it yourself homemade goodness.

Ingredients:
2 pounds (or more) of bones from a healthy source
2 chicken feet for extra gelatin (optional)
1 onion
2 carrots
2 stalks of celery
2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

Optional: 1 bunch of parsley, 1 tablespoon or more of sea salt, 1 teaspoon peppercorns, cloves and any additional herbs or spices to taste.

Procedure:
Add all ingredients to a pot and simmer for 18 hours. If you see foam near the surface, gently scrape it off with a spoon. If you don’t have the best quality bones, you will see alot of nasty foam.

It’s a really simple recipe, but just requires several hours of simmering while you go about your day (or sleep). Your thighs will thank you for it.
