I visited Les Halles, the shopping mall in the center of Paris, not to shop, but to scan the art scene. The mall regularly features artwork by up and coming and established artists. I was pleasantly surprised when I turned a corner on the 2nd floor of the shopping emporium to find a section called Espace Créateurs, a section of boutiques for emerging artists. How refreshing it was to see burgeoning designers next to mass-marketed clothing stores like H&M and Levis! Again, another genious way of promoting the creativity and uniqueness of independent artists.
Here are some pictures from inside the corridor. I couldn’t stay long because I almost got kicked out for taking pictures!
