I’m sorry that I missed the Vena Cava Fashion’s Night Out soiree. I’m a big fan of their bold printed graphics and rough, feminine style. Even though it was one stop away on the L train, I was so immersed in the New York City events that I had no time to make it into Brooklyn. But nonetheless, the presentation earlier that day may well have taken you into modern-day Williamsburg. Holding onto it’s hipster-styled roots, Vena Cava gives a shout out to the once so-hip-it-hurts crowd who has gradually grown up to a sophisticated–yet still punky–urbanite. The runway show was styled by Kate Young.
