I stole a few moments and ran down to Soho to see the fashion exhibit by Stephen Sprouse. Sprouse, who died in 2004, was more recently recognized as the designer behind Louis Vuitton’s graffiti scrawled bags and accessories. But Sprouse’s punk rock painting and fashion style emerged in the late 70’s, and the influence of pop culture is notable in all of his work. I snapped a few pix, but you need to see the exhibit for yourself. It’s pure energy, color, and rock ‘n roll.

A portrait of Basquiat adornes the sequin dress.
