In 1954 Batwoman or Katherine Kane was scripted as Batman’s love interest because she was rumored to be a homosexual character in a less tolerant period in American history.

In effort to reach out to today’s audience the comic has reintroduced Katherine Kane as a closeted lipstick lesbian who is determined to hide her sexual identity.

Ok so let’s talk about the real deal. I am neutral about Batwoman’s sexual preference, shout out to my rainbow flag brothers and sisters however, the comic personifies the stereotype that strong self sufficient women are lesbians: I can’t take it!!!!
