This Mother’s Day, my daughter and I took in some art after enjoying a lovely intimate breakfast. While strolling along Van Brundt Street, Brooklyn, we finally made it to the water, past the Fairway supermarket, and stumbled upon the opening of an art show benefiting these artists in the Gowanus. It was a pleasant surprise, and while there were many standout pieces, the best artwork came from a group of high school artists. Unfortunately, theirs was the only work that wasn’t for sale. Here are some snapshots:

“Convergence is a great opportunity for people to see the new work that artists are doing, and to acquire it at a reasonable price,” said John Strohbeen, BWAC’s President. “It is high-quality work and a great way to start an art collection, to find a very special birthday, or last-minute Mothers Day present.”
