Shop Lavishly: Missoni for Target

I’ll be honest. I’m not the biggest Missoni fan. Something about their zig-zaggy, nostalgic prints remind me of the most unfashionable memories of the 70’s and 80’s. But taking a look at the new Missoni for Target collection gave me hope
for the brand, with a few key pieces I could honestly see myself and my little diva wearing around town. I even spotted a shower curtain that would look awesome against the black and white tiles in my bathroom. I guess I’m now a Missoni convert.

Little Black Dress Four Ways

When I saw Kelly Rowland at her album release party last week, I wondered if Beyonce and Michelle coordinated with her to make a fashionable DC reunion. I loved all of the variations of the Little Black Dresses, from Kelly’s ultra-sexy cutout style, to Bey’s cocktail-chick dress, to Michelle’s classic shirt-dress style. I even liked

executive Sylvia Rhone’s take on the look, which she casualized with a pair of slim white jeans.

Bold colors were also a theme of the evening, like Estelle’s bold blue shift dress, actress Tika Sumpter’s fuschia frock. Model Jessica White opted for painterly chiffon maxi dress, accented with a vintage style belt, while singer Adrienne Bailon dressed down in a cool gray jumper.
