Sexy Swimwear

Feminine and free flowing, this swimsuit by Amaya Swimwear is my swimsuit choice of the season! This richly colored piece puts me in mind St. Lucia’s lush rain forests and the bright beautiful wild flowers that grow within.

Colorless

Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Naomi Campbell, Tyson Beckford, Andre Leon Talley, Tracey Resse, and many others explore the why behind the decline in the usage of Black models in top runway fashion shows in Fashion Blackout, Thursday May 29 night on BET at 8:30 p.m. The buying power of African Americans is huge, yet we are all of a sudden grossly underepresented on fashion runways and magazine spreads. The big questions: Is it racism or is Black no longer fashionable? Once again, it seems, that European beauty is trying to be made the standard beauty. BET will go behind the scenes of New Yorks 2007 Fashion Week to find out the why behind the colorless runways.

More than Just Daddy’s Little Girl!

Chantel Christie, AKA Chani, and daughter of NBA power couple Doug and Jackie Christie, has an album dropping, My Dream, June 1st. This is her first album and singing is only one of her talents. She is also an actress/model who has appeared in many national T.V. commercials and fashion print ads. Her desire is to be a role model for her peers. I would say that she already is as she is the United States National Youth Ambassador on HIV/AIDS awareness as well as Kids Outreach Spokesperson for the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington D.C. for 2008. For more info visit chantelchristie.com.

Beyonce and Jay Z Talk Marriage and Family?

Rumer has it that Beyonce and Jay Z will appear on Oprah to finally discuss their relationship and the buzz about a little Jayonce on the way. If it does not come to pass, I’m not mad at them! Being a fellow virgo myself with only a couple of days between Beyonce’s birthday and mine, I understand and relate to the need to keep people out of my business. It’s funny, my beau was actually born on Jay Z’s birthday and he once said it’s a good thing he is not a celebrity because he’d be broke all the time from lawsuits for beating down the paparazzi! I’m with you B, keep as much as possible a secret and keep them guessing!

Finally THE Man!!!

Finally in stores today, Usher, “Here I Stand” Don’t forget to check him out tomorrow night on BET at 8/7C.

DAYUM!!!
